Katelyn Tarver, Singer, Actress and... Barbie?

Katelyn Tarver was born November 2, 1989. Katelyn is a singer/songwriter and model, who is a native of Glennville, Georgia. Katelyn Tarver was a finalist on the only season of American Idol Juniors in the early 2000s. She released her debut album Wonderful Crazy in 2005 on an independent record label, TC Music. Her debut album was re-released, under the name Brand New Day.

In 2009, Tarver appeared in the motion capture movie "The Barbie Diaries" as Barbie!

Katelyn is now signed to CAA and is managed by Johnny Wright (Justin Timberlake, Backstreet Boys, Janet Jackson, Jonas Bros, Menudo and Ciara). She was also a co-star of the hit Nickelodeon show "Big Time Rush," and she made a multi-episode appearance this season on ABC's "No Ordinary Family."

Katelyn Tarver is also still recording and performing, and is managed by the Jonas Group (Jonas Brothers). During the summer of 2012, she toured with the bands The Cab and Parachute.

Katelyn Tarver is joining Honor Society as they hit the road this summer with fellow pop rockers, Action Item, on their Wherever You Are tour (named after the 2010 Honor Society single). The club tour, which kicks off in June and all five of the tour dates which have been announced so far will take place on the West Coast with more dates throughout the US planned.

Katelyn Tarver - American Juniors

Katelyn Tarver was part of the only season of the reality television program "American Juniors," a spin off of "American Idol" which aired in the summer of 2003. Tarver competed against two thousand other children and teenagers, making it all the way to the top ten finalists. However, she did not win a spot on the five member band.

Katelyn Tarver - The Barbie Diaries

In 2009, Katelyn Tarver, who is also a model, starred in the direct-to-video motion capture movie "The Barbie Diaries" as Barbie! Tarver appeared as Barbie through the magic of motion capture. Sensors recorded Tarver's movements, so her actions controlled the movement of the animated figure of Mattel's Barbie.

The original "Barbie Diaries" released in 2006, and the second film starring Tarver is set to release in 2011.

In 2004, sixteen year-old Glennville, Georgia native Katelyn Tarver inked a recording agreement wth New York-based record label TC Music. Her high energy pop debut Wonderful Crazy featured songs written and produced by Mattias Gustafsson (Backstreet Boys) and Kevin Savigar (Josh Gracin, Rod Stewart), as well as popular Christian recording artist Scott Krippayne who wrote the title track.
